TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We understand that sometimes your requirements may change and we will do our utmost to accommodate the changes you wish to make.
We will work with you to try and secure a suitable date for your trial, however most trials take place 6-8 weeks before your wedding date.
A non-refundable/ non-transferable booking fee of £45 is required when the booking is confirmed. This can either be paid by cash or bank transfer. Once the booking fee has been paid, the wedding date will be secured. The booking fee is non-refundable in any circumstance including cancellation of the wedding. If the date of your wedding is changed to a date we cannot cater for, your deposit will not be refunded.
All details taken on the booking form are kept securely and for the sole use of Jodie at Brighten & Bridal. They will never be shared with any third party.
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS ON THE WEDDING DAY
Please ensure there is a suitable, cleared working area with preferably natural lighting, electricity points and that hand washing facilities are available.
You are required to inform us of any allergies or sensitivities prior to hair styling, or of any adverse reactions to products we may have used during trial sessions. We cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or other members of your bridal party.
Before having your hair styled, please ensure you and your party are prepared, to avoid leaving the chair whilst we are working. For us, timing is crucial to ensure a relaxed wedding morning for the Bride and time can be wasted unnecessarily by continuous interruptions.
Hair must not be washed on the morning of your wedding. Please ensure that you and your bridal party have thoroughly washed their hair (2 shampoos) the night before the wedding - unless hair is short and being blow dried. Please ensure that all areas of the scalp are shampooed and rinsed thoroughly, and hair is dried completely, if not, this can have an adverse impact on styling methods, which could then affect the finished style and our ability to produce the best work for you, or any member of your party.
Please do not over condition your hair, a light conditioner on the ends is fine, but oils and heavy hair care/ styling products should not be used at all. We will bring all the styling products we need that produce great results we can rely on.
We will need to be informed in advance of your trial session if hair extensions are to be used or required by any member of your bridal party. Please note, we only work with 100% real hair extensions.
Please ensure after styling, members of your bridal party do not venture into adverse weather conditions unnecessarily and that small children are discouraged from running and jumping. Once styling is completed, any dressing gowns, jumpers or jackets should be avoided or worn with extreme care to avoid moving any hair that has been pinned into place or long hair being caught and squashed underneath.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your booking, the following charges will apply ;
-
If the cancellation is made 4 weeks (or less) before your booking date, the total booking cost must still be paid.
-
If the cancellation is 4-8 weeks before your booking date 50% of your final payment will be required.
-
Cancellations over 8 weeks - no further payment is due, but your deposit will not be refunded.
-
Cancellations made by Brighten and Bridal due to circumstances out of our control, for example; weather conditions, personal safety, unreasonable access, your deposit will not be refunded.
-
In the event of extreme weather conditions, where a “RED” warning has been issued and my safety would be jeopardized if travelling, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
-
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of Brighten and Bridal, but not limited to the reasons mentioned above, where possible we will endeavour to rectify such situations, however, no compensation will be offered. It is strongly advised that you take out wedding or event insurance to cover you against these situations.
-
If for any reason you or your venue have to postpone your wedding, we will do our best to reschedule at no extra cost, as long as we have the availability to do so.

COVID-19
For any weddings cancelled/postponed due to COVID 19 we will try our best to be available on your new date. However, a new deposit will be required as we are securing a new date for you. In the event we are not available then your deposit will be kept to mitigate against the loss we have incurred on your original date.

TRIAL APPOINTMENTS
Trial appointments take place between Monday - Friday. We are unable to offer trial appointments in the evenings or weekends, unless we have come to another agreement during our booking process. Trials can take place at your home, or elsewhere, please let us know. We advise that your trial appointment is carried out 6-8 weeks before your wedding date, so that ideas are fresh in our minds. Any earlier and we find that Brides tend to change their mind.
It is always a good idea to wash your hair the evening before your trial appointment as this helps to give a better idea of how your hair will be on your wedding day.
It is a good to bring along the following to your trial appointment;
-
Pictures of hairstyles you like and dislike.
-
Any accessories, clips or veil you are wearing as this will help complete the overall look.
-
It is recommended that you wear a white top/ or neutral colours to resemble and get the most out of your trial.
A few days prior to your Bridal trial, we will send you a reminder email of our upcoming appointment and attached to that will be my “Top Tips Guide”.
This is so you can get the most out of our time together, and be fully prepared.
Payment for your trial is due a minimum of 24 hours before this appointment.
TRAVEL EXPENSES & ADDITIONAL COSTS
Travel is charged at 0.50p per mile for the round trip, and would become applicable for both the trial and the wedding.
Any additional people from your bridal party will be done by quotation.
FINAL PAYMENT
At your trial appointment we will ask you to confirm exact numbers for the wedding day bridal party and make any final arrangements. Final payment is gratefully received by bank transfer 4 weeks before your wedding date. If you wish to pay cash, you can do so at your trial.
